Abstract

During the Covid 19 epidemic, there were many reports and posts that provided factual information and hoaxes that had various impacts on the community. In this research, we focused on the Instagram media account of @jiemmiardian where in every post it always provides motivation in living the days of this pandemic so that mental health is not disrupted. In this study using the theory of source credibility and information merging theory. This research uses positivism paradigm, qualitative approach, explanative nature and uses survey method. The population in this study were followers of @jiemiardian with a sample of 70 followers. The results obtained in linear correlation with the level of weak relationship between Instagram posts jiemmiardian with a change in attitude of 0.392. The linear correlation with the level of credibility between source credibility with attitude change was 0.301, and the multiple correlation between Instagram posts and source credibility toward attitude change was 0.387. The hypothesis is that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. There is an influence of Instagram posting and source credibility on follower attitude changes
