Abstract

At present the causes of various information from one place to another can be done quickly because of the help of technology and mass media. With the emergence of various eating applications such as Tinder, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, it can indirectly cause competition in the world of applications to present a variety of quality and entertaining features in order to meet the needs of the community and also provide an interesting entertainment or information to be presented. In this study, researchers made use of the Hago Application of Interest in Finding Couples as the object of research. The researcher formulated the problem in this research, namely, to find out whether there was an influence of the Use of the Hago Application on Interest in Finding Couples and to find out how much the influence of the Use of the Hago Application on Interest in Finding a Partner. The theory used in this research is New Media (New Media) and several concepts related to this research such as communication, communication functions, social media, media usage, new media, internet, application, request, good luck. The research approach used is quantitative explanative by using survey methods. The population of this research is residents RW 019 Ex. Sadang Serang, Bandung as many as 94 respondents. The sampling technique uses Probability Sampling (Oroportionate Stratifed Random Sampling). Data collection techniques using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. Data analysis techniques use simple correlation and regression tests. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the use of hago applications to ask for a partner of 0.557. This shows that there is a moderate relationship between the influence of the use of hago applications on the interest in finding a partner because it is in the correlation interval 0.40 - 0.599. The conclusion of this study is to show that the influence of the use of hago applications on interest in finding a partner is 31.0%, which means there is an influence on the use of hago applications on the interest in finding a partner is positive and significant.
