Abstract

ABSTRACT The goal of portfolio analysis is to identify the ability/performance of portfolio by comparing return and risk of the portfolio. There are wo methods, which can be done to measure the portfolio performance. First, by comparing directly and second, by using certain parameter. A main goals of this thesis is trying to compare the performance of Islamic investment portfolio represented by Jakarta Islamic Index (II) with the performance of LQ45. Research result within 2005 and 2006 period show that JII index performance is better compare to LQ45 index. Portfolio of JIl index can be as investment preference for Muslim Society in Indonesia. ABSTRAKS Tujuan dari pengukuran kinèrja portofolio adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan/kinerja suatu portololio, baik dari tingkat keuntungan yang dihasilkan maupun tingkat resiko dari indeks tersebut. Ada dua cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk menilai kinerja suatu indeks yaitu dengan melakukan perbandingan secara langsung maupun dengan menggunakan ukuran kinerja tertentu. Tujuan utama dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah mencoba membandingkan kinerja indeks syariah yaitu Jakarta Islamic Indeks (QI) dengan kineria indeks LQ45. Dari hasil penelitian selama periode tahun 2005 dan 2006 kinerja portfolio indeks JII lebih baik dibandingkan dengan LQ45. Portofolio yang termasuk dalam daftar indeks JII bisa dijadikan pilihan utama investasi bagi Umat Muslim di Indonesia
